Dr. William C. Washington, affectionately known as Dr. Will, is a psychologist, clinician, educator, musician, and community healer whose work bridges mental health, culture, creativity, and collective wellness. He is the founder of the Washington Wellness Institute, where he develops forward-thinking approaches to psychological care that integrate clinical practice with somatic work, music, spirituality, community, and creative expression.A licensed clinical counselor and supervisor with a Ph.D. in Health Psychology, Dr. Will also serves as an Assistant Trainer with the Internal Family Systems Institute, bringing particular attention to culturally responsive and Global Majority perspectives within the model. His professional work has included leadership and advisory roles with Black Therapists Rock and Backline, supporting mental health professionals and individuals throughout the music industry.Beyond psychology, Dr. Will is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, composer, and healing artist. He received the Cleveland Arts Prize Emerging Artist Award, later served as a Cleveland Arts Prize judge, and was selected to participate in Cleveland's Transformative Arts Fund, helping shape a multimillion-dollar investment in community-driven arts. He is the founder of ViewUnity, leader of Da Land Brass Band, and creator of projects exploring music, gaming culture, sound, storytelling, and frequency as pathways toward wellness.
